Ryanair passenger baffled as rude woman leans over her to film out window during awkward time

A Ryanair passenger was bewildered and furious after a rude woman leaned over her to take a video out the window for an awkward period of time.

Danielle McLean was sitting in a window seat on a flight from Edinburgh to Gdansk in Poland on Tuesday when a cheeky stranger approached her lap with a mobile phone in his hand.

The 34-year-old said she was minding her own business but was taken aback when the woman continued to reach over her to film from the window.

Danielle says she’s a frequent traveler and regularly travels around Europe, but she’s never seen anything like it.

The unknown passenger made no attempt to speak as he performed the awkward act.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Danielle said: “I just thought it was pretty funny at first. The woman in the middle seat started leaning over me with her arm right over me taking videos out the window.”

“She kept doing it on the flight. She didn’t even ask me if I was okay with it.”

“I know it can be pretty annoying when you want a window seat and can’t get one, but I was so shocked that she kept leaning over me.

“I don’t know if she maybe didn’t speak English, so she didn’t try to ask if she was okay.

“But she never said a word to me, she just leaned over me. I kept looking at her phone and then back at her.”

Danielle regularly takes incredible day trips from Scotland to places like Amsterdam and Rome for just £12.99 (€15.50).

The retail worker buys discount seats and jets around the world visiting beautiful cities at low prices.

His last trip to Gdansk cost him just £26 (€31) for the return trip, but despite the cheap plane ticket, he still didn’t expect the rude attitude of the passenger sitting next to him.

Danielle said: “I was in shock so I thought I’d take a picture and post it on social media.

“Anyway, I was just sitting in the window seat, so I didn’t have anyone with me, but I thought, ‘I have to take a picture.

“It stayed tilted for the first hour until dark. It was a cheap £10 (€12) flight, but I never expected to experience that.”

“I thought that was really funny. My friend said I should have told her to stay in her own area, but I don’t have the confidence to say that. I just thought it was so weird.”
