You never needed a pitch deck or a business plan.

“Ughh, do you want to create a new Youtube channel? There are more than 800 million videos, everyone is doing it and you probably won’t succeed.

We commonly believe that there is always a “top” throughout.

there’s the top restaurant.
there’s the top ride sharing app.
Obviously, there is top phone, and so on.

Most people are not aware that “top” it is a state of time. we have a top phone, but, logically, it will not be the top forever.

The main question is, “How long will it stay on top?”

The answer could be a hundred years. However, it could also be a hundred seconds.

If you had the inspiration to create a new phone to compete with the top phone and quit because you thought Apple would stay on top for the next hundred years, then you may have missed the opportunity of a lifetime. Since Apple could fail a lot in the next hundred seconds.

However, they didn’t because you never dared to create the iPhone killer.

A childhood friend of mine moved to the United States about eight years ago. He therefore needed a job and worked for a store that sells print-on-demand t-shirts. But, of course, he was paid in low numbers.

However, the more he worked, the more he saw an opportunity with his own eyes. She saw that people liked to buy print-on-demand t-shirts, even if the world thinks this is outdated or unfashionable like NFTs.

Therefore, a few years later, he saved up some money and bought a printing machine and rented a small kiosk in a shopping mall. This happened while he was keeping his other job printing t-shirts.

The money came in slowly. What came quickly was learning. She was learning how to deal with copyright violations, business rentals, taxes, and employees.

Before the demotivation reached the ceiling, Santa Claus gave Moe (I forgot to mention the name of the founder) a lesson.

In the few days of Christmas, Moe garnered a staggering level of demand that broke his entire financial year. He now understood how his target segment behaves at Christmas and prepared for the coming year. Learning about the market, he embarked to work for years more in the same business industry.

Time passed and I contacted Moe earlier this year. He just opened his spacious store and had the following stats for 2021:

  • $120k in benefit of
  • $150k on fixed assets such as printing machines.

Around twenty percent of his income came from his experimentation with using Amazon, something he never expected. However, the dominant percentage of their sales comes from direct retail sales.

“Thanks. I don’t need a pitch deck.”

Moe never needed a pitch deck or a business plan. (This reminds me of a book called “Burn the business plan by Carl Schramm”, interesting reading).

His business plan is to use his arms to print artwork on one t-shirt or one mug at a time. your storeWild Custom Clothing, It will not be a multi-million dollar company. However, that won’t stop you from increasing your income by a few million dollars each year.

Also, if Moe decides to end such a project, he can simply sell the company for seven figures on a website like Flippa or elsewhere.

Their operations prove that this industry is a growth industry by all means. Simply put, people want t-shirts with messages that convey what they want to say.

An analyst might look at this print-on-demand industry and assume that it will not see exponential growth in the future. However, people like Moe know that it’s not really about the t-shirts, mugs, or hats.

It’s about the fact that people like to have a voice. They want to express themselves, whether it’s through social media, meetups, or just a t-shirt.

Therefore, as long as people want to express themselves, this industry will continue to grow.

Try to tell the next person you see that you are thinking of opening a restaurant. Ask them if they believe in their hearts that this restaurant could one day be the best in the world.

If you don’t answer “Yes, there is a chance,” you should take this as motivation to keep going rather than demotivation.

Prove them wrong. You would be following in the footsteps of legends like Steve Jobs, Anna Wintour (You should google it if you don’t know it)Colonel Sanders etc

You would be the new Moe, but certainly not the last Moe to exist.
