A range of jewelery sold in Ireland has been urgently recalled due to a ‘radiation risk’.
On Wednesday, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission confirmed that a safety issue had been identified with several wearable health products, including necklaces and bracelets. A spokesman said: “The risk associated with the product is that of radiation, the products have low levels of radiation that can cause harm to the user during prolonged use.”
The alert includes six products that were for sale in Ireland. Products include bracelets, necklaces and an eye mask. JPAC has identified one purchase of an affected product by an Irish consumer, but fears there may be more as they were all available to buy online.
