Selena Gomez makes fun of ‘Old Enough’; She sends her boyfriend like a little boy on errands – Deadline

Selena Gomez ended up with bags of onions and makeup multiple shades darker than her skin tone in a hilarious SNL sketch he forged old enough.

The original old enough is a 1990s series from Japan shot in a documentary style in which the filmmakers follow young children on their parents’ errands, which recently began streaming in the US on Netflix.

In it saturday night live sketch remake, instead of sending the young children to the store, the subjects send their adult partners with a list of things to buy for them. Gomez plays Kelsey and her boyfriend Matt is played by Mikey Day.

Matt prepares for his big world trip with a little help from Kelsey, who gives him everything he needs: a giant water bottle, a messenger bag, and a huge yellow flag emblazoned with the word “Stop.”

Kelsey’s errand requires her to visit Sephora, but she quickly becomes overwhelmed with the aisles and aisles of makeup to choose from and breaks into tears hilariously. He gets the job done and goes to buy some shallots, but entertains a little distraction by chatting up another boyfriend for his girlfriend, played by Kenan Thompson.

Instead of shallots, though, Matt had a bigger surprise in store for his lady love.

“I’m very proud of him,” says Kelsey. “Last night, I asked him to bring me an eyeliner pencil and two shallots and he brought home 10 pounds of onions and a blush palette for African American women, so we should wrap it up.”

Poor Matt! Kelsey leaves him after 3 years together but no one can take away the pride she feels after taking on the big city.
